There are many types of accommodations that any traveler can choose such as hostels, hotels, homestays, dorms, etc. And as a solo traveling woman, it is highly recommended an accommodation that is meant for women guests only. There have been many cases of how female travelers being harassed during their sleep when they stay at a mix-dorm during their trip.
You might feel like loosen up for a bit and let your guard down when travel alone. However, it could be the gate of a disaster because you don’t know what will happen when you are intoxicated alone in unfamiliar place surrounded by unfamiliar people. Hence, it is always a safe choice to stay sober. You can have fun in many other ways during your trip without involving alcohol or drugs. Also, be wary with your foods or drinks when you are in public settings. Make sure they are in your sight so you know if there is someone who is trying to put something in them.

Make sure you know when to show your friendliness and not because sometimes people take advantage of ‘friendly-looking tourist’. Don’t hesitate to stand up for yourself even if you are called ‘rude’ by others. There might be situations that put you in discomfort such as people invading your privacy or grabbing you disrespectfully. Be rude to those people and tell them off.
